The below job description will outline this position of: Applications Engineer
Typically, this person will provide technical knowledge and calculations for the design of engineering solutions associated with all aspects of the business. Develop Engine packages and third-party components ensuring designs are fit for purpose and cost effective. Part of the role will see you travelling to carry out installation audits along with supporting sales & operations, and taking part in engineering meetings. Manage the delivery of a number of projects ultimately providing end to end project management from bid development through to the closure of a project.

Duties and responsibilities of the Applications Engineer:
* You will: Work closely with sales, operations, design office & other engineering teams to provide an applications input into the development of sales bids
* Work with a leading engineering team to help develop new applications to satisfy the customer requirements
* Identify and communicate to the sales team any potential revenue opportunities
* Develop designs for the integration of 3rd party supplied equipment into turnkey projects, liaison with suppliers where necessary
* Design and contribute to the development of various components
* Conduct and document any design reviews to ensure the quality and integrity of drawings produced by the Design Office team prior to approval
* Work Directly with the engineering team to make sure all engine installations follow he companies Application guidelines.
* Arrange and conduct full engine installation audits as per the set guidelines.
* Keep up to date with all new engine Technologies via all available training methods.
* Competent in IT with CAD knowledge and a Basic understanding of CAN networks
* Project management skills to oversee projects from end to end
Qualifications and requirement for the Applications Engineer:
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Degree in Engineering or Apprentice to HND level or significant industry experience
* Industry knowledge from one of the following oil & gas, electric power, industrial, marine sectors or rental
* Competent with all engine systems and engine integration into various machines
* Understand all engine system both Electrical and Mechanical
