The below job description will outline this position of: Financial Planning and Advisory Analyst
Typically, this person will pro-actively provide financial and modelling support towards new and existing business by not only providing financial analysis for investment in new vessels, acquisitions, disposals, financing, restructuring, etc; But also ensuring that the agreed valuation methodology and investment criteria are consistently applied across all projects and Support NETA corporate initiatives such as impairment reviews, look-back exercises, benchmarking and more.

Duties and responsibilities of the Financial Planning and Advisory Analyst based in London:
* You Will: Develop a robust project DCF/DDM model in line with best practices
* Ensure all relevant investment guidelines are accounted for and ensure accurate and consistent financial information across all projects
* Identify and analyse key valuation drivers and issues for allocated projects
* Liaise directly with Commercial Team, finance and tax departments or consultants to understand the business plans and relevant assumptions and their associated impact on the project model as well as the accounting and tax treatment as appropriate
* Carry out valuation for investment decisions (project IRR, equity IRR, DSCR, etc.) and assess accounting impacts (net debt, ROCE, net profit, etc.)
* Prepare investment case and memos for submission to investment committees
* Establish and maintain strong working relationships with Commercial Team, JV partners, regional/HQ business development, finance and tax teams to ensure effective information flow
* Support corporate with any corporate initiatives such as look-back exercises and methodology reviews, benchmarking, etc
* Be the key point of contact for all financial modelling
Qualifications and requirement for the Financial Planning and Advisory Analyst based in London:
* Strong analytical, numerical and financial modelling skills with knowledge of valuation methodologies and techniques
* Financial modelling proficiency, advanced MS Excel, VBA skills useful
* Good knowledge and understanding of financial reporting (P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet), tax and corporate structure
* Financial advisory experience in investments, acquisitions, structuring or financing;
* Fluent in English and good command of written and verbal business French
* Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant business related subject, and/or equivalent proven work experience in a related field
