The below job description will outline this position of: Marine Manager

Typically, this person will be responsible for overseeing cargo operations and navigation. This includes providing guidance and ensuring compliance with industry standards, particularly in ship-shore compatibility and technical support for nautical, cargo, and mooring equipment.

Duties and responsibilities of the Marine Manager
• Issue directives related to cargo operations and navigation.
• Assess and confirm ship-shore compatibility, responding to terminal or charterer screenings as needed.
• Review and update Ship Specific Operation Manuals.
• Provide technical support concerning nautical, cargo, and mooring equipment.
• Act as the Marine & HSEQ Director's proxy on marine matters during their absence.
• Provide recommendations on crew training and education.
• Participate in office audits and, when necessary, attend vessels during external audits and inspections.
• Assist the CSO with maritime security concerns.
• Navigate challenges related to ship-shore compatibility, TCP performance warranties, and nationalization with guidance from the Marine & HSEQ Director.
• Manage nautical and cargo operations, ship operations, and customer satisfaction concerning CP Performance Warranties and marine activities.

• You will manage a team of two in this role.

Qualifications and requirement for the Marine Manager
• A minimum of one year as a Master Mariner on a Gas Carrier or equivalent experience as recognized by the Director, Marine & HSEQ.
• You will need to have shore based experience.
• Advanced Tanker Safety Training (Gas).
• Training in Risk Assessment, Incident Investigation, and Analysis.
• Familiarity with crewing matters in line with Oil Majors' requirements.
• In-depth knowledge of vessel operational procedures and LNG/tanker cargo operations.
• Proficiency in internal and external audit processes.
• Understanding of ship-shore compatibility procedures in line with SIGTTO or customer-specific requirements.
• Expertise in risk assessment and global ocean passage planning in accordance with IMO guidelines.
