The below job description will outline this position of: Mechanical Technician
Typically, this person will be a qualified technician who will work amongst a team to conduct regular maintenance tasks for a fuel depot.
HSB Technical’s client is a very established and well-regarded business entity.
Duties and responsibilities of the Mechanical Technician:
• Efficiently perform planned maintenance activities and rectify defects.
• Prepare work areas for complex maintenance tasks involving depot systems or components.
• Interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, and general arrangements accurately.
• Immediately report site defects to the Depot Engineer for prompt resolution.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of Safe Systems of Work, RAMs, and PTW; review and develop RAMS to ensure tasks are conducted safely.
• Apply diagnostic techniques to identify faults in depot systems and components.
• Complete weekly and monthly PPM documentation within the agreed time frame with the Depot Engineer.
Qualifications and requirement for the Mechanical Technician:
• The ideal candidate will have a recognised Mechanical Craft Apprenticeship or an equivalent
• A working knowledge of Mechanical CompEx EX-11 would be highly desirable
• Medically fit to use Breathing Apparatus
• A full driving licence is required
