Position: Marine Engineer / Hydraulic Tail Specialist
Location: Barcelona
Rate/Salary: €45,000 – Dependant on experience

We are looking a for Marine Engineer / Hydraulic Tail Specialist for a renowned leader in providing innovative hydraulic solutions for the marine industry. They specialise in designing, manufacturing, installing, testing, and maintaining bespoke hydraulic systems tailored to their clients' unique needs. Their expertise spans across various marine sectors, including super yachts, naval ships, commercial shipping, and support vessels. Beyond the marine industry, they also serve commercial markets such as shipyards. This role will be based in Barcelona.

Typically, the Marine Engineer / Hydraulic Tail Specialist you will be a crucial part of the team, working hands-on with tail-end systems on large maritime vessels. This role requires a strong mechanical engineering background and expertise in tail-end parts removal and replacement. Duties and responsibilities of the Marine Engineer / Hydraulic Tail Specialist

• Undertake the servicing and maintenance of tail-end systems, including propeller and shaft removal and replacement, rudder/keel removal and repair, and thruster repairs and servicing.
• Work with major suppliers on parts repair, re profiling, and sourcing
• Carry out checks in line with planned and unplanned maintenance needs
• Provision of reports to be submitted for class and/or flag requirement.
• Mechanical Fitting covering maintenance/assembly & work on bearings, gear boxes, generators, pumps, and other mechanical equipment.

Qualifications and requirement for the Marine Engineer / Hydraulic Tail Specialist

• Must be physically fit, and able to carry out Manuel task as required
• Must be able to work in Spain, hold the right Visas
• Proven experience as a marine engineer
• Able to start in September
• Able to travel to Shipyard based in Barcelona.
