Marine motor producer Mercury Marine has added the Avator 20e and 35e electric impetus frameworks to its reach.
The two models complement the Avator 7.5e outboard, which was introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January 2023, in Mercury’s range of electric propulsion.
n the upcoming months, Mercury, a division of Brunswick Corporation, plans to introduce two additional electric outboard models. The company has promised to release five Avator products in 2023.
“We’re thrilled to advance our electrification strategy and the Mercury Avator brand with the introduction of the 20e and 35e electric outboards,” stated John Buelow, Mercury Marine president. He also added “Building off the success of the Avator 7.5e, these outboards set new benchmarks for innovation, performance, and connectivity” “The investment and advancements we’re making position Mercury to continue expanding our Avator portfolio and soon deliver additional industry-changing, low-voltage electric outboards.”
In July 2023, the 20e and 35e entered serial production. ‘Transverse flux motor technology’ and an ambidextrous tiller handle are only two of the characteristics shared by the new engines and the 7.5e. The new versions, according to Mercury, provide additional power, complete access to the Mercury Marine app, and the option to connect extra Avator batteries to increase range and run time.
Ordering for the 20e and 35e outboards is now available.
